Wir haben das Interview mit La Sphere nach dem Erscheinen seines Releases „Soul Chapter“ geführt. Schon beim Hören der fünfteiligen Veröffentlichung war uns klar: Hinter La Sphere steckt jede Menge Kreativität und vor allem Musikalität – ein Hochgenuss für die Ohren!

Was hat dich zur Musik gebracht und hat dich irgendwer inspiriert, Musik zu machen?
Mit Musik lässt sich ausdrücken, was man oft mit Worten nicht vermag. Durch Musik verleihe ich meiner Seele Worte und lasse sie sprechen. Und ja, tatsächlich hat es auf meinem Weg durchaus sehr viele Künstler gegeben. Aber es wäre nicht richtig, nur den einen oder anderen zu nennen. Letztlich waren es so viele, so dass ich womöglich noch einen vergessen würde, der mich maßgeblich inspiriert hat.  

Wie würdest du die Musik beschreiben, die du normalerweise produzierst?
Ich will die Leute mit meiner Musik auf eine Reise nehmen. Ich will ihnen etwas mitgeben: Ganz gleich, ob meine Musik sie einfach zum Tanzen animiert oder ob sie dabei relaxt chillen können… Außerdem glaube ich daran, dass Musik in gewisser Weise heilen kann. Deshalb möchte ich Menschen insbesondere auch in aussichtslosen Situationen mit meiner Musik Halt geben. Wenn sie dann wegen meiner Musik für einen Augenblick alles Negative vergessen und ich ihnen diesen einen wunderbaren Moment geben kann, in dem Sie merken „Das Leben ist wundervoll – es lohnt sich nicht aufzugeben!“, dann habe ich alles richtig gemacht.

Wie ist dein kreativer Prozessablauf? Welche Tools (Software, Hardware) nutzt du?
Ich verwende Ableton Live als DAW, außerdem verschiedene Plugins wie Arturia V Collection, Komplete Kontrol, U-HE Diva, usw. und als Hardware nutze ich den Push2-Controller und den Nordwave2-Synthesizer.

Welche berühmten Musiker oder welche anderen Produzenten bewunderst du? Hast du ein Idol?
Oh ja, da gibt es einige: Monolink und Boris Brejcha, um nur zwei zu nennen. Natürlich ist das aber auch absolut situationsabhängig: Wenn ich fröhlich bin, spricht mich eine andere Art der Musik an, als wenn ich traurig bin.

Was ist der beste Ratschlag, den du mal erhalten hast?
Immer weiter machen, egal wie schwer es ist. 

Was steht als nächstes bei dir an?
Bei mir ist Weiterentwicklung angesagt! Ich arbeite im Moment an einem ganz anderen musikalischen Projekt. Lasst euch überraschen, ihr werdet noch von mir hören.

We did the interview with La Sphere after the release of „Soul Chapter“. As soon as we listened to his five tracks „Chapter 1 – 5“ it was clear: La Sphere is full of creativity and – above all – musicality! Such a treat for the ears!

What got you into music and was there anyone who inspired you to make music?
Music can be used to express what often seems impossible with words. Making music is like giving my soul a tool to speak. And yes, there have actually been a lot of artists on my way. But it wouldn’t be right to name just one or the other. In the end there were so many that I might forget one more who inspired me significantly.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I want to take people on a journey with my music. It doesn’t matter whether my music simply encourages them to dance or whether they can relax and chill out… I also believe that music can heal in a certain way. That’s why I want to give people support with my music, especially in hopeless situations. If you forget everything negative because of my music for a moment and I can give you that one wonderful moment in which you realize „Life is wonderful – it’s not worth giving up!“, then I have done everything right.

What is your creative process like? Which tools (Software, Hardware) do you use?
I use Ableton Live as DAW, as well as various plugins as Arturia V Collection, Komplete Kontrol, U-HE Diva, and so on. As hardware I use the Push2-Controller and the Nordwave2-Synthesizer.

Which musicians or other producers do you admire? Do you have an idol?
Yes, there’s a few, i.e. Monolink and Boris Brejcha, just to name two of them. Of course, this is also completely dependent on the situation: When I’m happy, a different kind of music speaks to me than when I’m sad.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Keep going no matter how hard it is.

What’s next for you?
For me, further development is the order of the day! I’m working on a completely different musical project at the moment. Be surprised, you’ll still hear from me.
